Register key accounts early
Some services are useful even if you do not plan to use them immediately. Creating the account now helps prevent someone else from registering it first and using it for fraud, impersonation, or information gathering.
Examples of accounts worth claiming early
- Government portals and tax-related accounts
- Postal or mail-viewing accounts
- Major financial and utility accounts
- Primary email addresses and recovery email addresses
The goal is not to collect accounts. The goal is to close easy paths that attackers could use later.
